With the absence of color pigmentation, Dogs produce white fur; there are a lot of Dog breeds in white color. This article aims to provide you with some popular white dog breeds; Some of the famous names that relate to the white coat color breeds.

Having a white dog breed around your home will be an excellent idea and can add some sort of attractiveness to your yard, due to the unique color “white.”

Dog breeds that may come with pure white fur are Argentine Dogo, Borzoi, American Eskimo Dog, Bischon Frise, Kuvasz, Clumber Spaniel, Bolognese, Coton De Tulear,  Great Pyrenees, Eskapoo, Komondor, Kishu Ken, Maltese, Maremma Sheepdog, Poodle, Samoyed, Japanese Splitz and Polish Tatra Sheepdog.

1. The Argentine Dogo

The Argentine Dogo is a breed of dogs that is white, big, and developed in Argentina. It is a muscular breed of Dogs developed primarily for hunting, and big games (to take down boars). Despite their size, they are friendly and active and have extraordinary athletic abilities.

Also, because of their physical activeness, they make great guard dogs. They are classified under the big white dog breeds.

2. The Borzoi

The borzoi is a breed of domestic dog that is also known as walking cloud or the Russian Wolfhound. They are known for their sharpness and quick speeds. They can run very fast and can achieve 40 Mph. The Borzoi is classified under the big white dog breeds.

They may appear skinny, tall with a silky coat, but they are mighty and good in athletics. Keeping them as pets can be troublesome, as they are stubborn breeds. An adult male can weigh between 75 to 105 pounds while females can weigh between 60 to 85 pounds. They can survive in an apartment as long as they get persistent exercise.

3. American Eskimo Dog

The American Eskimo Dog originated from Germany and are a breed of companion dogs. They are a member of the spitz family.

These breeds are very lively, eager to please, fun-loving, and always want to be around their owners. They are family dogs.

However, American Eskimo Dog comes in 2 different sizes; miniature and standard. Both of them are always eager to please their owners, and they are highly intelligent.

They are beautiful but can be stubborn and are bred for a circus performer. They are excellent watchdogs but can bark excessively.

4. Bischon Frise

In the United States, the Bischon Frise is a member of the non-sporting group of the breed of dogs. However, due to their appearance, in the United Kingdom, they are a member of the toy dog group.

Bischons are always white with a black nose and fluffy white hair; they are very appealing with their compact bodies. Bischon Frises can be your happiest companion and are good with children also.

They are easy to train and tend to bark or howl. They are known as dogs that suffer separation anxiety, so if you must always leave your home for long periods and leave them alone, this may not be the best pet for you. Bischon Frise breeds are classified under the small white dog breeds.

5. Kuvasz

Kuvasz breeds are guarding breed of dogs from Hungary. These breeds neck has a mane that has longer hair than the leg and head. Kuvasz was bred in HUNGARY to guard livestock.

They are also useful in guarding homes and families and are very fast. They can weigh between 70 to 110 pounds. These dog breeds have well-padded feet and straight legs; the hair Kuvaszs can be wary and as a length of about 6 inches.

The Clumber Spaniels are a powerful breed of dogs with massive heads, developed in the United Kingdom. An adult can measure a height of between 17 to 20 inches.

Clumber Spaniel is the largest of the spaniels. It was first bred in Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire, where the name was taken from.

They were initially developed to help hunters in finding and retrieving game birds. Clumber Spaniel breed of dogs are generally healthy and a robust breed. They generally enjoy swimming, taking a walk with their owners, and playing fetch. They are fluffy, so if you have one as a pet, ensure you have time to groom him.

7. Bolognese dogs

Bolognese dogs are a small breed of dogs, which originated from Italy, in which the name was gotten from an Italian city called Bologna. They make great house pets, good in socializing with other dogs, and they love attention.

These breeds are considered companion dogs, and the females are a bit smaller than the males.

These breed of dogs is sensitive, gentle, and affectionate little dogs that are perfect for a family home in the suburbs or city. Whether you are a family with kids or older people, this is an excellent companion dog for you

These are breeds of small dogs named after a city in Madagascar known as Tulear. If you are in the pet store for the addition of a fury small canine companion into your life, then you should consider the Coton De Tulear.

These are not too popular in the United States in the past but has gained popularity due to these breeds great qualities. They make great family pets and can adapt comfortably to a variety of lifestyles. Coton De Tulear dogs are also very calm, friendly and affectionate

They are very alert; however, they do get along with other animals and children. These breed are under small white dog breeds.

9. The Great Pyrenees

They are also known as the Pyrenean mountain Dogs In North America. They are a big white dog breeds created to guard livestock. These breed of dogs has double dewclaw on their hind feet and can up to 9 to 12 years.

The Great Pyrenees has a distinct appearance of great size, majesty, and great beauty. They make a good guard dog and watchdog. They are wary of visitors or strangers and beast.

If you live in an apartment, Great Pyrenees isn’t for you, as they need plenty of space to exercise. They can measure up to a height standing between 25 to 32 inches and weigh anything between 80 to 120 pounds. One excellent quality about this breed is that their coat is weather resistant.

10. Eskapoo

The genetic combination of the Poodle and the American Eskimo produced the Eskapoo. These breeds can live up to 12 years. They are small compact dogs with a well-built body.

These breeds have happy and cheerful personalities, and they get along with humans very well. They are playful, loving dogs that love attention. They are very active, intelligent, easy to train, and needs plenty of exercises like talking a walk with their owners.

11. Komondor

These breeds are also known as the Hungarian sheepdogs. They are large, white-colored dog breeds that guard livestock and other property.

Komondor are not recommended dogs for inexperienced owners, people with kids and other small pets, as they are independent and stubborn dogs.  They are strong dogs who, without early socialization and obedience classes, do not do well. These breeds don’t require frequent bathing as it takes time for their coat to dry, and they must never be combed or brushed.

12. Kishu Ken

These breeds are sometimes called Kishu Dog or Kishu Iru; they are Japanese breed of dogs. They are among the most intelligent and beautiful breeds of Japanese Dogs. Kishu Ken has short, thick, white fur, and they are muscular and medium in stature.

Kishu Kens are known for their hunting abilities, and they are regarded as good hunting dogs. Once they learn who their owners are, they are loyal and instinctually drawn to them.

They have a long and harsh hair. Their coats are thick and white and sometimes come in pale orange. The primary breed function is to guard livestock and property. They should be regularly brushed to remove loose and dead hair.

These breeds were developed for Retrieving through the water. Poodles are active, lively, fun-loving, and good family dogs.

Polish Tatra Sheepdog was bred for guarding livestock, which means they have lots of space. If you do not have much space or a big yard, do bother adopting one.
